JIM WARE and WARE RANCH

Jim Ware grew up in a versatile, multi-generational family livestock and farming business but horses have always been the focus of his life.

Jim’s specialty with horses includes cutting, racing and ranch horses. He has held memberships in the AQHA and NCHA since he was a child.

Born, raised and educated in Louisiana, Jim has over fifty years of experience in livestock marketing, has personally produced hundreds of equine auctions and has managed the sale of thousands of horses in his lifetime.  He was a founding member and the past president of Western Bloodstock from 2000 – 2012, serving the National Cutting Horse Association as its official auction company.

Subsequently, Ware purchased the time-honored Triangle Sales in Oklahoma. This equine auction company grew and expanded during his ownership from 2014-2022.

Current business ventures include equine promotion, private treaty brokerage, consultation, appraisal and stallion syndication services.

Jim has freely shared his equine knowledge by supporting Texas A & M University, Tarleton State University and Colorado State University equine science programs.

Jim has not personally competed in the show arena in recent years, but he still enjoys trail riding and giving his personal attention to the broodmares and foals on his ranch in Texas, where he and his wife, Carolyn, have lived since 1999.
